This workshop will unleash possibilities for beautiful, exciting, and adventurous page designs. The participants will be able to create with confidence as we go through some step-by-step exercises. Most people learn calligraphic skills with diligent practice, but then have no idea what to do to create an exciting page. Here, we will explore together and find the passion in each of us to create those creative sparks.

CLASS SUPPLIES

  • A variety of nibs you like
  • #6 round watercolor brush (and smaller if you have some)
  • water containers
  • watercolors (either tubes or pan sets)
  • gouache (one or two colors)
  • pastels (two soft chalk pastels or two pan pastels, your choice of colors)
  • Canson Mixed Media or Watercolor Tablet 9x12”
  • painter’s tape
  • pencil
  • eraser
  • ruler
  • a few paper towels
  • embossing stylus
  • paper stumps (tortillons) for shadows
