I am really enjoying this ink! To start, the bottle is very nice. It has a wide enough mouth to making safely dipping easy. It's also a shallow bottle, so it helps prevent newbies like me from over-dipping. I like that it has a nice, metal-feeling lid. The ink itself has been great so far. It flows well from my pointed pen nibs, and I've been practicing gothic script with a Speedball C3 as well. It's a lovely, deep blue. The tones range from a navy blue in drier spots, to a deep royal blue in spots where it pools. It has a beautiful, slightly raised appearance when dry, though not so much as the India ink I have been using. This is my first acrylic style ink and second calligraphy ink, so please keep that in mind. That said, it's been awesome for me!
I really love using ziller inks and I have for many years. Most of the colors write nicely with nib and pen. My favorites are Azure, Lagoon and white. Some colors like yellow and orange don’t show up well on darker paper or envelopes.
I love the colors of Ziller ink, but I find it very difficult to keep the ink uniformly mixed while using it. I keep thinking I need to buy some bbs to put in the bottle to help with the mixing, but I'm not even sure where to get any. I sure wish Ziller would put them in their bottles.
