Discover the timeless allure of walnut ink with Tom Norton! Unlike traditional walnut-based inks that fade and deteriorate paper over time, this ink is crafted with artist-grade pigments, ensuring both lightfastness and acid-free preservation.

Experience the rich walnut hue and superior rendering capabilities cherished by art legends like Rembrandt, DaVinci, and Van Gogh, all while knowing you're using an archival ink that stands the test of time.

But the benefits don't stop there! Unlike shellac or acrylic-based inks that dry permanent, Tom Norton’s Walnut Ink behaves more like watercolor, remaining water-soluble even after drying. This makes it a favorite among watercolorists for layering and lifting techniques, allowing for nuanced tonal adjustments with ease.

Calligraphers rave about its compatibility with both dip and fountain pens, appreciating its water-solubility for easy nib maintenance. Encaustic artists find it ideal for underpainting on wood substrates, as its water-soluble nature allows for seamless integration with wax paints. And artists across all mediums delight in its beautiful sepia tonal qualities, perfect for adding warmth and character to any piece.

This walnut ink is great! It's cheap enough to use as an easy, fun practice ink but looks so good you can use it on the most special of finished pieces. It has a wonderfully vintage look, with the walnut brown varying in shade.
