These extra fine brush tip pens have a small but flexible tip that can create both thin and thick lines. Ink won't bleed though most papers. A nice choice for brush lettering beginners, and a great tool for seasoned calligraphers and illustrators as well. Water-based pigment ink.

  • Great Pen, Disappointing Colors 4

As another reviewer indicated, these pens are phenomenal: great design (small hard tip) for on-the-go art and small/fine detail work, as well as an easy to control experience, due to their stiffer tip. The colors are not great though. To be fair, I am not a neon fan to begin with, but these markers are so enjoyable and useful that I really wanted to invest in every color option they offered (they only sell a 12 pack of basic colors aside from these, unfortunately). Many people say the neons are not true to the specific colors they expect them to be, but they are also just not super pleasant to look at (again, not a neon fan though). They are very mild/light, much more like a highlighter. I am not sure when I would use them, but, as I said, they are a great pen, and if this set ever dies, I will definitely be buying another right away. This style pen is also great for beginners to learn on. I would go with the 12 pack before I would go for these though.

  • Great pen, colors not super vivid 3

The pens themselves are great (small hard tip fudenosukes) but the colors were a let down. The yellow and orange seemed like highlighters, the blue and green were dull, and the red and pink were nearly the same. I sadly don't use these much.
