The Pilot Parallel Pen is a remarkable and durable tool that offers crisp edges, sharp hairlines and a totally reliable, smooth flow of ink for beginners and seasoned lettering artists.
In a typical dip or cartridge pen, ink travels through one or more slits in the nib and feeds across the writing edge. Skipping (non-delivery of the ink) can occur, particularly in larger pens. The parallel pen has a totally different construction. Ink flows between two layers of metal lying on top of each other, delivering ink to the entire writing edge without fail.
Each pen comes with one black ink cartridge, one red ink cartridge, one pen cleaner pipette, one nib cleaner, and an instruction booklet.
The 1.0mm, 2.0mm, and Slant pens have been cut down to a custom size. Since we have modified these products from their original factory condition, all original factory packaging is included but may not apply specifically to these products. This also accounts for their raised price.

nice pens and variety in sizes

Love this pen! So fun
I'd been wanting an altered parallel pen and was so happy to find P&I sells one! Love this. I had a regular one that i enjoy as well, but I'm a huge folded pen fan, so this is so fun for me. The only thing is that the ink is a little "spotty" when I try to make broad strokes. Maybe it's just how I inserted the cartridge, as it works fine for thin lines. I guarantee I'll be getting my money's worth with this pen! I wanted a portable folded pen where I could sketch anywhere without having to dip into ink, and this is perfect! So glad I found it.

GREAT pen!
Finally treated myself to one of these, after years of curiosity, and so glad I did. It's such a great broad-edge calligraphy pen -- even better than some of my nibs! Creates wonderful fine lines! And because of the cartridges, such a great tool to take with you to practice (or play with) lettering vs. dip pens and/or markers. The ink isn't waterproof, so you need to watch out for that (in case you alter or add "embellishments" to your lettering. I also love that you can buy different color inks vs. just standard colors. Such a fun, inexpensive "on-the-go" calligraphy pen!
