More brown than purple
The holder is brown and is neither purple nor fuchsia. I was also sent a left-handed one instead of a right-handed one. Functionality-wise, it does work beautifully for holding the small nibs which was the whole reason I ordered it. Unfortunately the nibs will be upside down in it, so I haven't had a chance to use it yet.

This oblique holder is the best investment, at a very reasonable price, you can make in your dip pen collection. It easily adjusts to fit all of my nibs and feels wonderful when writing. Thank you for this ingenious design.
