Moon Palace Sumi Ink is excellent for both pointed pen and broad edge work. Gives wonderful hairlines, sits up a bit on the page with a bit of a shine when used with a pointed pen. Even smells right to fans of stick ink! Works well in the Parallel Pen. Waterproof when dry.

All-around Great Ink
I use this for Copperplate and it's great. It has the unique sumi ink smell and dries fairly quickly. I don't think I have ever had the ink smudge when I'm addressing envelopes or erasing guidelines. I like that it's a deep black with a slight sheen to it. I have heard that some calligraphers dilute their ink, but I haven't had a problem using it straight out of the bottle.

Moon Palace Sumi came highly recommended by one of my instructors and I am so glad I listened. Initially I purchased a small bottle and why oh why did I? Well, I am back and purchased this size because I use this ink on a daily basis. The consistency and flow are on point and the smell!!!! Have you smelled this stuff? Nice! It dries to a beautiful sheen which I adore and it is a skosh raised which I also like. The richness of the black is beyond compare. This product is a joy to write with.
