The Leonardt General nib has a medium flex and glides smoothly across rough surfaces. Although it was designed for drawing, this nib is great for modern calligraphy styles and also suitable for Copperplate. Not recommended for Spencerian. Okay for beginners, but is a better choice for intermediate level calligraphers.

'General' Writing and Drawing "Spearhead" Nib
NOTE : I'm new to dip pens, so I'm experimenting with all this! 'General' Writing and Drawing "Spearhead" Nib : First, I like the look of this. Simple, neat, clean. Second, I was quite surprised by the ink this thing held, despite not having an extended reservoir, just using its long body and 'breathing hole' reservoir. Medium-firm flex, decent line variation, smooth writing tip. There's not much else to say, it just works! I plan to try this with the 'toms studio "one dip wonder" spring reservoir' magnetic upgrade, and I'm sure this will be even more impressive! ("one dip wonder" https://www.paperinkarts.com/ts-ODW-1.html ) Overall : great product, nice find point, good line variation, good ink storage. Very satisfied. This may be my current favorite nib! 4 STARS
