BEGINNERS | ARTISTIC

Learn the art of creating beautiful, hand-painted signs. In this class, you will learn the fundamentals of sign painting, including the alphabet, basic painting techniques, and how to use essential tools and supplies. You will also learn pinstriping and other creative skills to add to your projects.

CLASS SUPPLIES

  • Glossy paper booklets (like the free publications you get in the grocery store for real estate, retirement home ads, etc.) – This will be used like a paint palette
  • Paper towels
  • Dixie cups
  • One Shot paint (only one color is needed – choose a dark color to show up on white paper)
  • Mack Lettering Quill brush – size 6 Squirrel brush
  • Lettering quill brush
  • Mac brush size 6
  • Mack Striping sword, size 00 (This brush has thread wrapped near the handle: The blue wrap is a nicer brush, the green wrap is not as nice but will work for the class)
  • Paper, large sheets (approximately 18-24 inches)
  • Pencil
  • Large popsicle sticks (tongue depressor size)
