Gum Arabic Powder, 1 oz

Gum Arabic has many uses. This medium can be added to inks and gouache as a binder, making them more easy to use for calligraphy. It increases gloss, color brilliance, and transparency when added to watercolor. Gum Arabic also slows down drying time, make it easy to control the spread of wet color when using wet-on-wet techniques.

This powder formula is designed for use with Jacquard Pearl Ex Powdered Pigments, but can also be used with other powders as well as inks and paints. Try it with fountain pen inks to make them more compatible with your dip pens.

Ratios are as follows: 1 part gum arabic to 4 parts pigment. Add water a little at a time, mixing until you reach your desired consistency. 1 oz plastic jar.
