The Brause 513 is a medium flex nib that produces great line variation, from fine hairlines to super swells. Very similar to the Brause 511 nib in appearance and performance, save for a few key differences: The 513 is not as scratchy, making it easier to use on textured papers such as Arches hot press. The 513 is less flexible than the 511, making it more user-friendly for beginners.
Calligraphers of all skill levels will love this nib. Excellent for drawing, tiny writing, Spencerian, and Copperplate.

Great for even lines
Not so flexible and very sturdy, has a constant line pressure (of course it will flex a little if you pressure it down too much buuuut not easily), it's great for drawing fine lines in your own time. Cartoons are not my style, but if you need a line that has the same thickness all throughout, this is a great pick. :]
