We will have all the supplies you may need for your classes. If you would like to place a pre-order for pick-up at the conference, you may order directly online or by phone. Your pre-order must be placed prior to October 10. If you would like to preorder your supplies and pick them up at the conference we are happy to offer that service! Exploring Lichens Greens with Christiane Fashek
Lichens encompass an array of greens. Students will build lichen palettes using colored pencil and gouache, from tangy lime to palest mint. Christiane will show how to layer, texture and burnish to capture the characteristics of dry and wet specimens.
Supply list:
- 4 sheets of hotpress Watercolor paper, 9x12: one for the final piece, the others for palette and pattern studies. I use Legion Stonehenge or Arches hotpress.
- erasers: Tombow Mono Zero and a kneaded eraser
- helical crank sharpener: Muji, Carl Angel 5, and Rapesco 64 work well
- artist’s tape
- Watercolor gear: a small palette or plate for mixing paint, brush for underlay wash and a triple zero brush
- Colored Pencils: I’ve listed Prismacolor Premiers and equivalent Faber Castell Polychromos. For our green blends, you need only one brand or pick and choose from the list:
