How to Create a Personal Monogram by Liesbet Boudens – Level: (I/A) Intermediate/Advanced
A monogram is a unique design, composed by two or more interwoven initials. We will research ways to combine letter shapes. Through smallscale pencil sketches we will consider style, unity, contrast and color. Sometimes a decorative element or frame can be added. With the use of examples of my own hand we will work through the initial design process. Our goal is to create an attractive piece with a personal flavor, executed in gouache.
