Paper & Ink Arts will be one of the vendors for the week. We will have all the supplies you may need for your classes. If you would like to place a pre-order for pick-up at the conference, you may order directly online or by phone. Your pre-order must be placed prior to June 13.

A Bookhand Progression by Tim Botts – Level: (A) All levels
Our goal will be to move in stages from skeletal “simple hand” forms, to Humanist bookhand, and finally to Roman capitals. All three styles will be demonstrated with time to practice in between. Variations, application of flourishes, and a demonstration of color gradation through the letters with gouache will be included.

- Bottled sumi ink, esp. Yasutomo brand in small green bottle
- Winsor & Newton gouache tubes in the primary colors plus white
- 11" x 17" white bond paper, esp. with light-blue grid lines
- Speedball C-0 through C-5 and/or
- Brause set of nine (esp. 3/4 through 3 mm)
- HB pencil
- Kneaded eraser
- Inexpensive pointed brush for mixing paint, esp. number 8 round
- Palette with at least six wells
