I use this pen holder in all of my workshops. The color is nice and it works well.

  • My go to holder 5

I actually prefer an oblique pen holder for most of my lettering but I keep a couple of these on hand for when I want a straight penny holder. They're gorgeous and cheap, but they're made well enough that I still have the 1st one I purchased a few years ago. The metal doesn't rust and holds the nib securely in place. It fits all the common calligraphy nibs that I've tried (pumpkin, all my G nibs, arrow, gillott 404, etc). Just an all around great holder. The only small complaint is that there's no padding so I slip a rubber pencil grip on mine when I'm using it for longer periods because it does hurt my fingers after a while. Easy to remedy though!
