This is the nib from our popular folded horizon pen. Use the point for a thin line then lay down some or all of the side for broader marks of varying widths. Actually acts like a hard-edged, pointed brush; the user has more control than with a brush. Our new version makes it easier for the pen to contact the paper and allows a more normal hold. Thanks to Carl Rohrs for testing and advising us on this improved version!

good enough nib
great starter folded nib. i haven't tried any other folded nibs really, so i don't have anything to compare with. but this one served it's purpose for a particular writing need.

Great nib!
I love this nib -- it's a perfect "starter" nib for those wanting to explore the world of folded pens! Before making my own, I used this on a daily basis. So sturdy and the low cost is great too. I use it with the e+m penholder, although it could fit in any calligraphy pen holder you already have. It can be tricky using acrylic inks with it, but other inks flow nicely. It also doesn't produce extremely fine lines, but it's still great for folded pen work! I just with it came it different sizes.
