Leonardt 300 'ballpoint' (bowl point) nib
NOTE : I'm new to all this, so I'm experimenting with all this! Leonardt 300 'ballpoint' (I think this was actually classified as a 'bowl point' because it doesn't have the smooth ball halves, but actually depressed flattened and curled up ends) This nib I was hoping to replace my fountain pen with. It ended up being scratchy instead of smooth, held very little ink and even when it had ink, it was very difficult to start. I made a test swatch book where I put all my fountain pens and Dip Pen nibs and inks to the same test, so that I can directly compare ease of use, line variation, and ink consumption. Overall :for a new nib, this ranked slightly above a 30yo rusty 'Eagle Pencil Co "Tutor E740" NY, NY', and a similarly aged 'Signature 6 Gold Ballpoint USA'. 2 STARS

Nice for outlines
I like this ballpointed nib for outlining illuminations and filigree work. I like that it is not as pointy as a Nikko but is still stiff.
